According to a BBC report, a week after leaving the house, the police arrested him at around 2 am after he was seen wandering suspiciously on the streets of the city of Fano, on the coast of the Adriatic Sea in Italy. The real incident came to light during interrogation for violating the curfew rules.
The man was fined 400 euros for violating the curfew. He told the police, “I came this far barefoot. I didn’t think to take shoes when I left home. Many people gave me food and water on the way.
